This comprehensive training is built around four modules that incorporate foundational elements of effective supervision.

- Module 1: Understanding Leadership and Your Supervisor Role. Discover that an effective supervisor is someone who can skillfully take on and integrate three critical roles: leadership, management, and followership. You'll explore effective leadership styles for public health contexts and master five core management skills so you can step into your supervisor role with confidence.
- Module 2: Understanding Organizational Policies and Procedures. You'll learn to navigate organizational resources, understand key federal employment laws, and apply HR policies in daily supervisory decisions—building confidence to support your employees while knowing when to seek additional help.
- Module 3: Setting and Managing Expectations. Master one of the most important jobs a supervisor has—managing expectations and goals with employees. You'll gain practical, immediately applicable tools to set clear expectations, hold employees accountable, give feedback that reflects your leadership style, and recognize good work as it happens. This module includes innovative guidance on using AI tools to enhance your supervisory feedback and communication.
- Module 4: Coaching as a Development Tool. Learn to use coaching skills as a key tool in your supervisor toolbox for developing team members and helping them cultivate competence and confidence. You'll master the GROW Model framework and develop three essential coaching skills that will improve team performance, increase engagement, and strengthen problem-solving capabilities across your team
