Creating Belonging in the Workplace: https://phtc.unmc.edu/m/course/view.php?id=37
Approaches to work are deeply influenced by who we are, where we are in life, and our personal and professional experiences. This course explores the factors that shape how individuals show up at work, make decisions, communicate, and relate to others. By examining shared historical events and technological shifts that influence our work experiences, we can better understand how they inform our interactions at work and with others. Experiences including generational identity, life stage, career stage, and personal life circumstances evolve over time. This course includes opportunities for self-reflection and strategies to navigate differences with others in ways that promote belonging, reduce misunderstandings, and support effective collaboration. Ultimately, this course is designed to increase awareness of our differences and to support more thoughtful, inclusive, and constructive interactions in the workplace.
